Purchasing waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale is an investment that
promises to remain strong in the future.
With the Intracoastal Waterway offering protected year-round cruising, and
more than 150 miles of waterway canals leading to hundreds of restaurants,
shops and boutiques, a performing arts center, and a multitude of homes and
offices, it's easy to see why Fort Lauderdale is called the "Venice of
America."
The waterways are an integral part of life in Fort Lauderdale. There are even
water taxis and buses that zip around to take you to your destination. If you
have to take a taxi, why not make it a water taxi and make the trip a nice
break in the day?
Fort Lauderdale boasts an average yearround temperature of 75 degrees
(averaging 81 degrees in the summer and 68 degrees in the winter) and more

Mention a Caribbean cruise and most people assume you’re talking about St.

way into town and the shops and tavernas were beginning to open. The first
ferry from the mainland would arrive shortly and the island would once again
bustle with activity.
But this was no ordinary morning. In fact, nothing about the last few days
had been "ordinary." T... (more)
If you are a "Royal" watcher or even just an occasional reader of any of the
grocery store tabloids, you will have noticed that Prince William (second in
line to be King of England) and his girlfriend Kate Middleton seem to have
fallen in love. If not with each other then certainly with the island of
Mustique. Kate was there twice in the month of August.
Mustique, which is part of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines island chain in
the Caribbean, has long been one of my favorite destinations. See my
article about cruising in the Grenadines in YVC. Mustique is off the beaten
